This piece shows the life cycle of the Eastern Newt begining and ending in water. In their journey they see how the forest has changed with the loss of the Passanger pigeon, American Chestnut, and current die-off  of the Eastern Hemlock. All the plants and animals in the piece live here in the Southern Appalachian mountains.
